Venesa and I woke up to blue lights and sirens @ 2am this morning. Turned out to be a huge fire raging less than 100 yards from the house. So like any sane citizen would do (?), I grabbed my camera and ran towards the flames [hey, no one said photographers were the smartest people in the world]. It was raining... freezing... and I was still in my pajamas, but the photos still came out 1/2 way decent. The first dozen or so photos were taken from our front yard. Once the fire was out, I ventured a little closer for the last few.
Photo notes: All taken with the Pentax ist-D. Most photos are @ f4, but quite a few are wide open @ f2.8. All were taken @ ISO1600. |
